Dropping Calls, Market Update

I bought an epic 4g
and I'm having a few problems. The first one is I'm losing connection during calls. For example if I'm talking to u at some point during the call I can hear u but u can't hear me, then I have to end the call and replace it. This is happening often. Second, I took my phone to the sprint store to get this problem resolved. They did a hard reset, and now I have the old version of the app store. I'm running 2.1-update. Any help with either issue is greatly appreciated.
 
Not sure of the issue of losing the connection in the call as I've never had that happen. Did the problem resurface when Sprint did the hard reset?

As for the issue with the app market, it kind of updates on its own. You'll probably open up the market in the next couple of days and it should be in place automatically.
