DT Ignite Disable Messages

Gents,

Tried to things this morning.

1. Used the Forced Stop againt DT Ignite
2. Tried using Disable, but was met with an interesting message

I have DT Ignite version 1.9.002-444 on my VZW S7 and I first got a message that said "do you want to replace this app with the factory version?" when performing a Forced Stop.

Then I tried using the Disable option and got this message. "If you disable a built in app, them may cause problems with other apps. Your data will also be deleted.

That said, am I still good to Disable it and won't it start back up once my device reboots? The message about deleting my data has me a bit worried.

What it means when it says your data will be deleted, is that any data in the app will be deleted. Android Central wrote a good article about it and it doesn't look like it affects much if it's disabled.

Thanks, it's what I assumed, but I waited to play it safe...Yes, the AC article was good, however, I don't recall it addressed this specific question, unless I just missed it.

Well, I disabled it, and so far it's not smoking.
I still see VRZW apps so not sure it's done anything.

Read that article - I don't think you remove the VZW apps - I think you just limit how much they work and you prevent new ones.
