Hello Everyone,

I am a new member and am enjoying the site so far. I just recently graduated from the original Motorola Droid to the Droid Bionic, but I have not had a happy transition. I am now on my 3rd Bionic. I just posted a video on youtube explaining the issues. Droid Bionic "Dual Core Freeze" Verizon WIreless. That is the title of the video. I am not able to post links yet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBZSszppC00

I hadn't tried the fastboot. I had to pull out battery and am now using my 3rd Bionic now. So far now problem. I will hope for the best. I will never again buy another Motorola. My very first droid I went through a few as well.

I think you have bad luck with the Bionic =/ or maybe it's an app you keep installing.

An app? hmm, i wonder what it could be. everything comes from the Market except for one..... Music Downloader Pro, but i have that one my original Droid and it fine. The phone even reboot itself right after a hard factory reboot during its activation. The app wouldn't have been a factor then, would it?

Some apps can cause problems with the phone, such as when I downloaded a task killer for my OG Droid when I first got it release day it caused it to reboot constantly... so that may be it idk, just go back go the store you got it from and tell them your situation again in your case

You can't expect an app that worked on one Android phone to work on another . This is true even if you have an app working fine and you update your phone's operating system. It may or may not work after the update. Each phone carrier adds things to the basic Android system, whether it's Froyo, Gingerbread or Ice Cream Sandwich. An app that's designed for a particular operating system and carrier will have to be updated itself to work with new operating systems, carriers, phones, etc.

Because there are SOOO many Android phones on the market now - you really don't know if an app will work or not. IF you have problems after installing an app, UNINSTALL it. Apps cause more problems than people realize.

The problem is not with an app. Apparently some people didn't hear that it was rebooting itself right after the factory reset. The only apps after the reset were the ones that came with the phone Yes, I agree that an app can cause a problem, but not in this case. . I am currently using the 3rd phone and so far so good.

Just because an app comes from the Market, doesn't mean that it can't cause your phone problems. The beauty of Androids open market is that anyone can write and publish an app. That can also be a problem. If an Apple loving developer wanted to write an app that causes intentional problems on Android phones, they could. And until someone figured out that it was happening (if ever), anyone could download it. I'm not suggesting that this is going on, but it's always possible. What's more likely is that you have some app that is poorly written or just doesn't work well on your device/hardware, or even conflicts with some other app that you are also running. Going through 3 Droids and 3 Bionics is very likely not a phone problem.

He said "after factory reset", so all he had at that point were stock apps. I don't think he means "from the Market", I think he means "from the factory".

If it does it after a factory reset, sounds like a defective phone. If it does it regularly, take it in and get it replaced.
