I've had two SIMs active for the entire time I've owned the device. So I don't really have a basis for comparison. But based on what people have been reporting here about standby and SOT my battery life seems to be in the bell curve.

That said it seems logical that having two active SIMS would have at least some impact on battery life, even if it's just marginal...

I am sure it will impact your battery life because two carrier will have two active signals.

I've been using two SIM cards on my OP7 (non Pro) since day one and I'm still getting a great battery life. Two SIM cards will use a bit more battery, of course, but I wouldn't call it a battery drain. You will notice a big difference only if you have a weak signal on any of them, specially while using mobile data.

No, I've used it with both a single and dual sims and have not noticed any difference. I haven't tested it, so hard to say for sure.
