Dual SIM Explanation

Can someone explain how dual SIM works on the Galaxy or Note 10's? I have a work phone that's on Sprint and a personal phone on At&t (I'm willing to switch my personal to any carrier except Sprint). I've read that there are dual SIM versions of both these phones but I'm unclear as to if I can use two network types (CDMA and GSM) on the same phone. I think the way it works is have have the carrier set up an eSIM for my personal and then I can take the physical SIM from my work phone? If that's correct, and I can run dual SIM from both CDMA and GSM at the same time, then my other question is are the Samsung's DSDS now. I'm not even 100% what that means, but I think it means that unlike older phones I can have both sim cards active for phone and data at the same time. Sorry for the long post, I saw an explanation for this on Pixel 4 and how it works of Fi and I just ended up having even more questions.

The dual SIM versions are sold outside the U.S. only. You can get them via Amazon as well. They do not work on Verizon/Sprint networks. Most U.S. carriers also have different LTE bands. Some of them match the international version. So you may have less coverage. I don't know for sure. Maybe someone with a international version can chime in here.

Thanks, if that's the case then I really can't use Samsung then because I need Sprint for work. Do you know if Pixel 4's dual SIM will support both Sprint and At&t?

I know that Verizon phones work on the international LTE bands. I've used mine with no problems in Japan and Okinawa.

Forget about eSim phones for now (and for another year or two probably) what you need is a dual sim phone, that support either 2 sim cards OR 1 sim + one sd card if you want to use 2nd slot for that instead, you just need to make sure that that the phone support both GSM and CDMA as well as both some American and Chinese carriers use this.

CDMA is pretty much gone here on the US. Verizon and Sprint have been shutting down their 3G networks. It's almost all LTE now.
