Hi all,

Just wanted to know if using two sims in your phone would use more battery? TIA

Hi, only Samsung international versions have dual sim , in the US not available :(
But in my other phones using dual sim was no crazy battery drain.

Thank you. I'm in South Africa and we only got the dual sim variant here. I've noticed quite a big decline in my battery since putting a second sim

I always knew that but just wanted to confirm that it affects it as much as it is now. I use to get full day battery (go to bed with 30%) and now I have to plug it in a few hours before going to bed

I have a dual SIM OPPO and don't have problems with battery drain.

I have a UK and a Vietnam SIM.

Nope, I can't say that I found this. I'm also in the RSA with two sims. I have one locked as the data access and second one for calls and text. Both Vodacom contracts. I get through a 14hr day ending with around 25-30% battery. Perhaps Corwill will also weigh in here. He's running the same configuration.

I'm running the exact same config, both also vodacom. Surprising. I'll test it by maybe taking one out and monitoring. Otherwise, I might have something else chowing the battery. Thanks for your input

I haven't a 2nd sim in my phone right now but in Sim Manager is there an option to turn off the 2nd sim slot until you need it.

i.e sometimes I travel to a place where my primary network struggles with data connection so it would be an option to have another Network's dormant sim in the 2nd sim slot that I can turn On when needed.

I don't need my phone to be constantly connected to two different Network's.
