I used to own a Kindle Fire and still have a couple of ereader Kindles on my account. My old apps are there and I thought, "Can I use those on my Nexus 10?" Apparently, the answer is yes. I've downloaded and installed the Amazon App Store app and also a couple of my old apps. I'm not worried about downloading them from Amazon. However, I did have to click the "allow unknown source" in the Security section of Settings. There was a warning message about this saying that I'm opening up exposure. I assume this is true. Would it be mitigated if I install an anti virus pgm? I could just reverse all that I've done and no harm at this point. The apps that I want to use all cost $$ in the Amazon Android App Store. I got most of them for free when I had the Kindle Fire. Any comments/suggestions? Thanks in advance..
