Duplicate apps appearing

I have discovered a recent problem with my phone. I'm not sure when it started.
My phone is a Leagoo Alfa 1, with android version 5.1.

Several apps have duplicated, for example, Play Store which is now 4 icons. A delay hold doesn't show any uninstall or delete option, only "App info". To clarify, this is on the app screen and not in the shortcuts.

I've read through many similar threads here and tried the suggested solutions but none have worked. :'(

What do I do???

That looks like it's just the home screen and not the full apps list. If you long-press on one of the duplicate icons and start dragging, does a trash can appear at the top? Drag the duplicate to that trash can and it removes it from the home screen.

Welcome. And I must commend you on your first post asking for help being so complete with the screenshot and other information, it's rare!

If I long-press, there's no trashcan or anything to indicate removal. Only "App info" appears at the top. I tried with other apps and it seems that it's only the "default" apps that have no uninstall/remove option.

Like so:

The default apps that have duplicates are: Play Store, Google Settings, Gmail. Those can't be removed.

Other duplicated apps that I have downloaded are: BankID, Kore
They have the option to uninstall but if I do that they will all disappear (and I'd have to reinstall).

Thank you :)

Welcome to Android Central! Did the phone come with the Play Store preinstalled, or did you have to install the Gapps package yourself? If the latter, it might be some glitch related to that.
