Duplicate Calendar Events and Google Calendar Sync Issue

Anyone have a problem with duplicate calendar entries on the TB? Primarily they're facebook birthdays. I can't manually delete these on the TB.

Also, my Google Calendar seems to be removing entries online and leaving them on the TB. It's not syncing up properly for some reason.

Any help with these is greatly appreciated as I'd like to resume using Google Calendar and have a good sync.

Try clearing data from your calendar and let it re-sync.
Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Calendar storage > Clear data... Then make sure that you have only one calendar selected to use on your phone and try syncing again. If it's not syncing with your Google Calendar you may have to set it up again on your phone before syncing.

Thanks for the tip. Now, I'm repopulating my calendar and have disabled Facebook sync on the TB as well. Will see if this helps.

You can also turn the Facebook birthdays/events off in the Calander app, without having to disable Facebook sync.

1. Go to the Calendar app (not the widget)
2. Hit "menu", then "more"
3.Click "calendars"
4. Uncheck the "Facebook" box.
(You can also turn on/off your gmail contacts birthdays, US holidays, etc...whatever calendars you have selected in your gmail Calendars are available here too)

Mine is doing the same thing and I did what you said above and I have two Google Accounts, I checked off the sync on the 1st account calendar and even though it doesnt have the green check next to it it still has the sync spinning wheel next to it and its syncing

I did not have a problem with Facebook entries. All my entries were from Google Calendar. I cleared the data as directed and all double entries are gone. Thank you Cyber Warrior. How can I ever repay you? ;-) (Are you familiar with the Monty Python Bicycle Repairman sketch?)
