duplicate contacts

I have contacts on my phone and contacts in Google. When I sync, I am getting duplicates. First question, am I better off only using Google for my contacts, or the phone? If I am going to use Google, How do I get the contacts from the phone into Google? Then, how do I delete the contacts in the phone?

You should sync your contacts to Google not the phone. That way if you buy a new android phone it will sync automatically. Remember if you sync to Google it will always be saved.
