duplicate emails gmail

Hello!


How come I'm receiving duplicate email from my gmail account? I will send email out from my EVO and then get a copy of it in my gmail inbox.

How do I fix it?

Is there a setting to show/not show sent mail in the inbox? On the GMail accounts on my BB, it shows me mail that I have sent in the inbox. I am guessing you can turn this off in the settings.

I checked under gmail settings, but nothing.

I wish my device were actually here instead of waiting to be shipped...then I could do more research. I will look into it to see if I can find a solution.

My Gmail does this too but the recipient doesn't get two copies. I read something about this before, I think it had to do with a quirk in the way the Gmail app syncs with the server. I don't know if there is a fix, but I'll watch for one with you.

Are you using the HTC Email or Gmail app? Some mobile email apps have a setting about sending a copy to self. I just checked the Gmail app and didn't see a setting like this but maybe HTC Email does.
