Duplicate entries calendar

Which boxes should I check on the Calendar app to avoid duplicate entries? I sync Outlook on my desktop with Google Calendar automatically and the Evo calendar syncs when I refresh it with Google Calendar, and sometimes I sync it with USB and the HTC sync . Which should I check or uncheck? Some entries have a green bar next to it, the duplicates have a red one. Which is which? Where are the instructions on how to use it?

OK, nevermind: I found the info on p. 54 of the EVO manual. I guess I need to sync the PC Outlook first with Google Calendar and then sync with Evo and check only the email username (the red bar item). A bit confusing.
