Hi
I need advice / help to:
- how to remove them (as there is no uninstall feature)
- any explanation as to why there are so many of the same apps on the APPS folder?
- is there any cause for concerns? are they spy wares?

Pls see pics attached to the many duplicated apps found on my new android phone.
They are located in the following directory: "Manage Apps".

Thank you.

Hi again

I have never seen such Android apps found on my "Manage Apps" folder ever before...but now in my new android phone bought.

Does it look weird or cause for concern?

Thank you

I merged your similar threads. It's not that unusual to have more than one of certain system apps in the list. Can you tell us which phone this is from?

Welcome to Android Central! Those all look like normal system apps. Where exactly are you looking? Is that in the Settings>Apps menu?
Yes, in the Settings....Apps ..."manage apps" tab

May i know why there are so many apps of the same? really strange, isnt it?

I can't say exactly why there are 4 entries for Gestural Navigation Bar -- perhaps they're placeholders for a few variations on how the system implements it. The two entries for Settings have different sizes, so they're probably two different components of how the system settings are implemented. These kinds of questions would have to be answered by the actual engineers, but you're very unlikely to get any answer about it if you contacted their support.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about this -- after all, would you dig into all of the hundreds of thousands of system files in Windows and be concerned about files you don't recognize there?
