Dust under screen!?

I've had my Optimus for about 1 month now, and carry it in my pocket all the time. It's had a screen protector on it since day one, but no case of any kind. After the first week I noticed a bunch of dust had accumulated between the screen and the LCD. It wasn't too noticable when the screen was illuminated, but whenever the screen was dim, or there was strong sunlight landing on the screen when in view the dust showed up like crazy! As each week has gone by I'm noticing more and more dust is accumulating... I've carried various iPods, an HTC Touch, TouchPro, and TouchPro2 in my pocket without any protection for years and never noticed anything close to what is accumulating inside the Optimus..

Anyone else seen this, and have any ideas on how to get it out? It's kind of sucking pretty bad.

I use that screen protector that works well....I haven't seen much dust on my phone but then again I bought a cheapo case from fleabay (Ebay).

You must have a defective phone. i KEEP MINE NAKED IN MY POCKET AND HAVE NO ISSUES, EXCEPT I DROPPED IT ON A TABLE. ( LITTLE SCRATCH ON SCREEN)

i got 1 little tiny dust in the middle of the screen somehow, and it bothers me a lot

Dust

Dust happens. It gets in through any one of the various holes on the phone. I had the Hero and it got dust in the two lower corners, but that was it. I haven't had as much of a problem with this, but I am sure it will eventually.

Probably an issue with the screen having a gap between the actual display and the lens on the phone.

so do i and right on the sun on my fancy widget lol it bothers the heck out of me no clue how to get rid of it

No screen protector will stop dust from getting in behind the screen if it wants to go there.
