DX #2 bites the dust, #3 on the way

So, DX #1 had a weak body. It "creaked" every time I touched the area near the power button.

#2 has a real "squishy" power button. I've only had it since August and it just doesn't feel like it's going to last. It also has a speaker that crackles at mid to high level volumes. Not a huge deal, I use my bluetooth majority of the time.

Today, my bluetooth on my DX just ceased to work. When I try to enable it, it says "bluetooth turning on". From there, it sits. I've factory reset my device twice, and the problem has not fixed itself.

I was one of the lucky ones who updated to 2.2 without a factory wipe, or even a single issue.

So, #3 will be here Monday. I'm eagerly awaiting either the HTC Merge or the rumored Incredible HD. Since VZW is giving me a Droid Pro for work (can finally get out of the LG Fathom), I can finally get over the X.

number 1 for me had a bad earpiece and i couldnt hear anyone on a call

number 2 started to flicker on the bottom 1/3 of the screen. this morning the bottom part of the screen is black with lines running through it. nre been dropped and always in a case.

number 3 will be here monday

Same here. I went through 6 Tours in a year. The longest one lasted me three months. So far so good with my DX

For me the dx is the worst android I have had yet to own , its not the fact that the phones is defective the software is just to buggy , its gone as soon as I see a replacement I like I dont want another motorola

My DX is working great. No issues with it at all! My Eris on the other hand was nightmare.

The first ones charging port went out 6 months in. The second one the charging port and the trackball quit working 3 months it. The third one the track ball quit woeking 3 months in. The fourth one the trackball didnt work out of the box. The 5th one the track ball didnt work out of the box. So in 9 months I went through 5 Eris's. They said eh well sorry we will give you a D1. I said no thanks. So they gave me a Droid X when I threatened to cancel my contract and go to AT&T.

I am on DX #3 also.

#1 - Froyo updated bricked it

#2 - dead pixel

#3 - Good so far except one of the flash LED works some of the time.

Its unreal to me how many people have had multiple phones...I've had probably 20 phones over my lifetime and never once needed a replacement device

Lovely reply. Thing is, Motorola has been making radios for about 70 years. Samsung cannot say this. Nor can HTC or LG.

If you go to ANY chemical plant or any other type of facility that uses 2 way radios, guess what they use? Motorola.

The hardware is solid. They know radios. Don't confuse software with hardware.

The chips are usually the same, BTW. Quallcom. Has nothing to do with the build of the phone.

I can't believe all the problems you all have with your phones. 90% operator error I think. I've had my X since release and it even went into the hot tub with me on accident and it's still running strong.

The DX was my trial of Motorola since the MotoQ.

That phone was junk an so is the dx and all the bugs I mentioned are Confirmed by Motorola ,so.there is no user error involved.

My DX is in perfect condition physicaly looks brand new .I will Neverer Everer buy motorola again once it gets replaced its getting scraped out .

Hopefully it wont be long.lol
I'd be happy to sell it for 100.00 bucks if some "poor unknownly person wanted it",I mean "some person" wanted it lol

I love motorola hardware, but i hate that they lock down the phones. My next phone will either be htc ore that lte lg phone
