DX Help

I just bought a used DX, and it has a pattern lock..Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this so I can restore the phone? It is not activated yet so the gmail thing is out.Story is I bought one on ebay from a local person..They run a mobile store..It was great but the mic didnt work so I took it by there today to exchange it and got home and it hasnt been reset, and it has a pattern lock on it..I cannot egt a hold of them either so Im losing my patience..Any help?

I don't know of any way around it without knowing the pattern to unlock it.

The only way to fix it is to do a hard reset... Do the following:

. Turn the phone off.

2. Hold the Power and Home buttons down for about 5 seconds.

3. A screen with an exclamation will appear. Tap the Search key.

4. Scroll down to factory reset using the Volume Down button.

5. Confirm the selection.

6. Select Yes — delete all user data then tap OK.

The Droid X will then complete the hard reset.
