E:failed to mount /preload (no such file or directory). What should I do?

E:failed to mount /preload (no such file or directory)

I just bought this Note 4 and I am doing a factory reset but I get this error when I choose wipe data/factory reset.

My phone shows as follows
-- preload checkin...
E:failed to mount /preload (No such file or directory)
Data wipe complete.

The phone is wiped and it seems to operate normally, but this error bugs me, anyone have any ideas?

My assumption is that this phone may have been rooted before, if so how do I reset things back to factory? FYI, I have updated to Lollipop and I am familiar with using ODIN. Once again this is a Note 4.

Welcome to Android Central!

It sounds like the phone may have been rooted and had a custom recovery installed. You should be able to go in to download mode and see if the KNOX is set to 0 or a #.

Thanks itguyjax8430 My KNOX shows 0x0, is there a way to remove the custom recovery or should i just go to the Samsung Service Center and tell them I'm having "connectivity issues" and get it replaced?

i get same problem like you if i Root used after that i get wipe all my Data . now i get back my Data and ROOT again used odin and TWRP 2.7.0.0 i get E:/unable mount/preload...what i must do next and KNOX that where i can find ??? thank u for any want help me
