e-HRPD has officially been disabled!@@@@$#

My guess is they dropped those in 3G areas to Rev A as a sort of temporary Band-Aid fix while they straighten out the other problems. For anyone in fringe areas, does it still hand-off correctly from Rev-A to LTE and back like it should?

Not sure yet.. Cause OF COURSE LTE hasnt tried to kick in at all.. Or it HAS and its not working.. grrrr:mad:

I am inside a 4G area but on the fringe and I can say it still does not handoff properly I have to turn off then on mobile network when I leave home.

I also only see Rev. A even though my settings are set to ehrpd. I would always connect ehrpd before the outage outside of LTE.

I've been noticing that after yesterdays outage, by 4g has been spotty all day, going to 4g to 3g to off completely for a while then back constantly... Hope verizon gets all this sorted out for good.

I have not seen ehrpd since the outage started. I was at 1x for about 15 hours and since then have been on 3G CDMA-EvDo rev. A

I'm in a non 4G area

on the upside the GPS on my Thunderbolt has never worked so well. Apparently it doesn't like ehrpd

I'm in an LTE area and I'm on LTE network, but when i drive outside LTE area it goes to 1X. if i go and change to CDMA auto prl, i can get 3g, but then when coming back to LTE i have to change back to LTE and reboot each time, so my EHRPD is not working i guess... not sure if i understand fully.

ever since the outage verizon pushed the phones to Rev. A to get them data in the mean time, but now 4g is back but my phone still only connects to 3g cdma evdo rev A. I believe it used to say eHRPD or whatever, but I might be wrong.

No, you're right. I live in NJ, where 4G is prevalent. My LTE is working fine, but when I switch to 3G manually, using the LTE on/off tool, I get Rev. A, rather than eHRPD.

the good news is that:

1) Rev. A appears to be somewhat faster than eHRPD...my speedtest scores are about double (and finally match what my verizon iPhone gets)

2) There is a 4G "dead spot" in South Brunswick, NJ, on Route 1, about 5 miles long. The 4G to 3G handoff, and then back to 4G, appeared to go very quickly - about 5 seconds.

no harm, no foul...

So what are all of the default settings under the ##778# / modem settings?

I'm not having any trouble, but I had been playing around with them and I'm not sure I got them all bad correctly.

Here's what mine are set to...I've never touched them.
