Tonight was the 2nd time I attempted this. I shot a video in HD its a 295MB file. I tried to sent it via Gmail and all Gmail does at this point is have it sit in the out box indicating "sending" but it doesn't go through. I even used a 2nd E-mail client and the same out come. I went further by trying to upload the same 295MB video to YouTube and I got a message indicating I can only upload a 1GB file what am I missing here? I though u could record HD video and either upload or E-mail. Any help would be appreciated.........!

That is a huge file! Typically, mail clients allow anywhere from 5MB- 10 MB for file attachments. If you are trying to share it with someone try "Dropbox" or "Sugarsync". Or maybe someone else has a better idea. You will never be able to send that large of a file via email. As for youtube, you are well below the 1GB, if in fact that is their limit. If you can "zip" it you might try "You sendit" which is free up to 100 MB.

I was wondering if it could be done from the device itself.

Yes, it can be done from the device. However your problem is not the phone, but file size. In order for you to send it via email you will have to adjust your video resolution. Below are file size examples for a 1 minute video:

Recorded in HD: 1 min. @ 74MB
Recorded in VGA: 1 min. @ 16MB
Recorded in QVGA: 1 min. @ 2.4MB

As you can see the mode in which you record determines file size + quality. In order for you to share video recorded in HD, your options are an FTP site, upload to dropbox or sugarsync, or use "Yousendit" for free under 100MB. I use my ftp site and can send a video redorded in HD.

***Your friend is sending you videos most likely that are 5-10MB in size via email.

Another option is to connect X to your computer as USB Mass Storage Mode, drag/drop the video file from the X to computer, and email from the computer. There's still a possibility the file may be too large, but it has worked for me pretty consistently.

I'm going to try that out Arelunde I want to thank everyone in advance for there input. I will post my results shortly.

295mb? WOW. You can't email that kind of file size. Most clients act up with anything over 10mb.

This is true...the only solution I found with this 295mb HD vid I shot was to manually upload it via the PC on to YouTube. Nothing else prove to work.
