i added my school email account to the default email app in fascinate. I receive and send emails alright. I also can get notifications on the status bar but it goes away after certain minutes even when I didn't check those new mails. Please help!

And one more... I just want to make sure that I still can get official updates from verizon even if i rooted my phone just to change themes. yes?

I do not use the stock email app so am not certain why your notifications are clearing..

You should still continue to get updates from Verizon (even rooted) as long as you are running your stock ROM/Kernel and have not deleted any stock apps.. Upon application of the update from Verizon you will loose root and your theme will be gone as well.

I believe you have to do more than root in order to run a theme. I thought you needed to be on a deodexed ROM in order to run a theme. I do not know of a deodexed ROMs that are still fully bloated. If you're not fully bloated, you will not receive OTA updates.

You are right Shark.. Completely forgot about the deodexed ROM prerequisite..

Good catch.. Flashing a theme on a fully stock ROM - you will be lucky if it boots..
