Ear Piece Speaker Died

Looks like another issue just popped up, the ear piece speaker is crackling and not usable anymore. Pretty much rendering the phone useless
With the current fiasco on verizon & google store orders, don't know the turn around for replacement.

Did anyone experience this so far? I am starting to suspect the quality of hardware is so-so ?

Any drops or something that might encourage this to happen? I've had something similar happen with the phone sitting on a desk. It is unfortunate.

Contact Google immediately. Turnaround time for a replacement shouldn't be anything like waiting for a new order. I'm sure they keep a certain number of devices available for times when a replacement is required.

I didn't have this issue, but I did do a warranty replacement. The turn around time was immediate, had a new replacement within 3 days. It came as a new phone in original box, with all the goodies, so you'll have a backup power brick and cords.

You ordered through Google? Wondering about those of us outside return window with BB units...

Yea through Google. I think it works the same way though. It's a warranty issue. Ur covered for a year for manufacturer defects. Just go to ur settings and go to the support tab and just let them know the issue. They will help u.

I tried that earlier... They wanted to walk me through troubleshooting and settings help.

Just try everything they tell u, and hopefully they exhaust all the options and get u the replacement. Try again, sometimes it depends on the representative.
