After installing a new Whitestone Dome, I apparently got some glue in the ear piece. I've installed 4 and this was the first time I had this happen. As a result I pretty much lost any sound from the speaker. After taking a few deep breaths, I grabbed some rubbing alcohol, toothpicks and a toothbrush. I carefully dropped some alcohol directly on to the ear piece, let it "soak" for a while, then carefully used the toothpicks and toothbrush and scrubbed for about 30 minutes. After wiping and drying, I played a song with deep base and to my pleasant surprise, it worked! No muffling, no crackling, no distortion! I hope this helps someone else as it did me!
