Has anyone else noticed their Thunderbolt ear piece volume being way too loud when on a call? Even when its lowered as far down as possible, its still extremely loud and I have to pull it away from my ear so it does'nt hurt. Is their another way to lower it even more internally besides using the volume rocker?

My volume is just fine. I did notice that the first ring is always lower than the rest but that's not an issue for me.

Yes, I have the same issue on my Tbolt. Though, it really is only noticeable when inside my office (where it can be very quiet during lunch).

When outside, I don't notice it as much, only when in quieter locations.

Yeah I've noticed. Kinda makes a PRIVATE call non existent.

I've found the same thing. If I turn the volume up it doesn't get louder, it just seems more distorted.

Have you tried changing some of the options in settings > call? I have not experienced this i use a bt stereo headset not wired.

I have the same issue with the ear piece. It is so loud that my ear piece is starting to distort. it almost seems like HTC needs to switch something because the ear piece is to loud and the speaker is to quiet.

I have noticed that sometimes the ear piece volume is too loud after disconnecting from Bluetooth. Turning the volume up then back down fixes this issue for me.

Yes. I have had the same issue. Turn the volume up and then back down and it will normalize. A little annoying, but better than always getting blown away by the volume.

I actually find mine to be much too quiet.

Same here and that's on two different headsets :( both Plantronics but different models.

We had headset troubles with my hubby's phone and after a whole lotta testing at the VZW store here it was finally determined that it was because he had and old phone that used bluetooth version 1 and my BB storm used version 2. Once we got him a new phone all was well.

So, now that I remembered this tidbit of info, maybe those that are having troubles are having them because they're using older headsets? I really love the way the Plantronics 510 fits my ear -- best fit I've ever had but the one we have is broken so I can't try it out :( and I don't wanna order a new one because the 510 is an old headset and I'm thinking we'll just go back to having problems again, either my phone, his phone or both.

I think the OP is referring to the actual ear piece on the phone, not a bluetooth headset. And yes I too have noticed this. The volume up/down trick solved for me as well.

Ohhhhhhh, I'm sorry! In that case my ear piece works GREAT! I have no volume problem at all there.

I have this same issue and it is especially annoying in a room with others who can hear your entire conversation at the lowest volume. The up down trick does not seem to work but maybe I have not done it right yet??
