I happened to stop in a Verizon store and found out that they were running a promotion for an early upgrade. I currently have the Droid Maxx. I was looking at the Droid Turbo as an upgrade from the Maxx. Just wondering if there is any other phone to consider?

What is this promotion you speak of?

You have a Droid maxx? Wait S6, M9, GA are all on their way. Unless you prefer the Turbo of course

I went to a Verizon store to get an issue with my phone looked at. The representative asked how I liked the droid maxx and then said the reason they were asking is because they had a promotion going on for an early upgrade.

This might not be at every store. I'm fairly certain that I was at a corporate store when they told me about the upgrade.

The last Galaxy phone I had was the S3. Is the S6 or any of the other new phones better than the turbo?

A quick search indicated pre-orders start April 1. I'm currently in Virginia and the store representative mentioned "I'm not sure about the stores in New York (where I setup my account), but we have an early upgrade promotion." Not sure how I'd be able to do an upgrade for a phone that has yet to be released unless I check on this when I get back home.

Just make sure that he isn't referring to an early edge upgrade. Not necessarily a bad thing if he is, but you want to make clear what you are signing up for if that is the case.

IMO, the Turbo isn't a huge upgrade from the Maxx. I had the Maxx and ended up getting the Note 4. Note 4 has unbelievable battery life, even better than what I was getting with my Maxx. However, the phone you get is your choice, but me persoanlly, I wouldn't waste an upgrade or edge going from Maxx to Turbo.

Agreed. If you want to take FULL advantage of your upgrade, the Note 4 is the ONLY choice. (Obviously I'm biased but seriously, the Note 4 is INCREDIBLE!).

Posted via the awesomest phone EVER...the Note 4.
