I'm having a weird problem where when I make a call, theres no audio coming into the earpiece on the phone. Apparently people on the other end can hear me, but the earpiece on my phone doesn't work. This only happens sometimes. Any ideas?
Get a new phone.
I read this one other time, and another symptom was that the headset icon displayed, even though the headset wasn't plugged in. Did you happen to notice that or not?
If it were me, I would
1.) Suspect 3rd party apps.
2.) Hard reset.
3.) Hardware issues: return it.
I don't think I'm turning it down, as far as I can tell. The problem isn't with an external earpiece, it's with the one that's built into the phone, and it seems to only happen sometimes.
I know this sounds like a stupid suggestion.... but, I always go for the most obvious solution first. Sorry, if this insults you...
Mine does this too and I have figured out what causes it. first I should say that it can be fixed with a reboot. if I have anything plugged into the headphone jack and have anything playing audio phone call or music, I have to pause it before removing the headphone plug. Otherwise, the earpiece speaker will not work.. if I pause the music then remove it, the speaker will work fine.If I put call on speaker phone then unplug the headphone jack, its fine..very strange and I can replicate the issue every time... hmmm, wonder if I am the only one with this issue...
