earpiece speaker

Hey Folks, anyone know anything about the earpiece speaker? my wife accidentally submerged her OV and after a few days of drying the phone is working again, except for the earpiece... speaker phone works, but there is no sound out of the earpiece... any suggestions?

Two ideas come to mind, both of them are complicated. Buy a used OV, then either 1) Copy the pertinent data (MEID, etc) to the new phone. There are threads on this forum that detail the process. Or 2) unsolder both earpiece speakers, and swap in the good one. These are both fairly advanced solutions though, so hopefully someone else has a simpler solution.

yeah bluetooth headset of some sort, seems to be your only way "out". best of luck.

I have a spare speaker from my old phone I could de-solder and mail to you, or a po box.
