All the unroot methods seem overly complicated.

I have spent the last few hours trying to find something that doesnt seem to take hours and a phd to complete. Can you not just revert to a stock vd nandroid dump (like this one http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-optimus-s-rooting-roms-hacks/86749-gingerbreaked-stock-vd.html), revert to stock recovery ( like in this thread http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...67361-how-simplified-unroot-return-stock.html), and unroot using drews gingersnap program? In theory it seems that it should work, but thought I would see others opinions on this.

You can simply revert but will still be rooted running the stock rom.
If you use drew's program and unroot it should take you to factory status.

whatever way you go with to un-root, it used to be that if you unrooted before you flashed stock recovery it would brick your phone and i'm guessing that it still does, either way I'd make sure not to do that.

If you have the NEWER LCD, BE CAREFUL. you wont be able to see what your doing if you downgrade past xxxxxxZVD or whatever it is.

I did that and had to switch out LCD's from an older model. There is another method using LGNPST. I have the dll and bin file. It puts the phone in emergency mode and brings it to stock firmware.

I just wanted an easier way to unroot. I didn't want to load a bunch of stuff. On my computer if I could avoid it. I would love the emergency mode way if you could point me in the right direction. I don't mind doing a full wipe as that would do.

I am having a real issue with extremely poor data signal, even with a perfect Mobile signal.

I tried it just a second ago and I'm finally back to stock.
