Easy data transfer!!

Used the included adapter and transferred everything, including my home page photo, from my Pixel 2 to my Pixel 3. Took about 15 minutes. Worked perfectly.

Yea Pixels are great that way! Even coming from another phone is easy.

My only complaint here is that it only transfers SMS, not MMS messages. Otherwise, it's a great process.

Yeah I did a transfer that way with my Nexus 6 to my OG Pixel XL and it went well. But it was even smoother and quicker smoother this time with my OG Pixel XL to Pixel 3XL. Little disappointed there doesn't seem to be a wireless option this time (not that I would have used it but it would have been nice to see.). Though it's a bad idea if the reports are right and you have to have matching OS's for Android to Android transfers.

I went from Pixel to pixel 2 no adapter was needed but everything worked great

The phone itself will guide you, it is just a few steps along with plugging the 2 phones together...You'll unplug your old phone in less than a minute then wait for the apps to download. You make a few simple choices and those are user dependant.
