Easy fix for broken haptic feedback and bluetooth?

So i totally lack ANY and all empirical data to support this, so my fix is totally anecdotal, but potentially could lead to an easy fix for anyone else. Or maybe I'm an idiot and have just taken the long road to the original fix, but seems much easier to understand.

Downloaded DL09 over the air, then rooted, installed cwm, and SU and my haptic feedback and bluetooth broke as discussed by other users. In trying to fix a BSOD error caused by this I flashed to the stupidfast stable kernel available via rom manager, which loaded a new rom as well (super clean I would imagine since it was totally stock minus bloat). Haptic feedback restored, BSOD problem still present. Flashed back to my nandroid backup from before the stupid fast kernel, and my haptic feedback and blue tooth continued to be fixed. The restore should have restored my kernel as well if i'm not mistaken? Which I would imagine would have broken my haptic feedback again. I suppose I'm also posting this as an educational inquiry since I'm pretty much a total nOOb cake. Please feel free to drop some knowledge on my a** if you feel so inclined. I think i'm just getting the hang of the android root/kernel/flashing logistics but i'm definitely just getting the basic structure figured out.

Restore points don't save your kernel or modem data. You were on the right track with installing the SF kernel which would be for DJ05/DL09. Odds are you flashed the old version of CWM which uses a DI01 kernel, thus giving you a mismatch between kernel and ROM and the loss of vibration.

Ain't that the truth. You should look at my other thread. I'm learning more than I probably would like to in the last couple days and still don't have a fix.

I have DL09 and the latest clockwork recovery mod (2.5.1.0) and my haptic and vibration still dont work.

am doing something wrong?

sweet the kernel.zip at the bottom of the post seems to have fixed it. everything (seems) back to normal now.

also whats up with that new symbol in the notification bar next to the 3G symbol. i dont remember seeing that before DL09
