Easy Question about Charging my Xoom

I am thinking about getting a charging stand for my Xoom mostly because the Xoom will stand nicely on my workspace. My question is will leaving the Xoom plugged in and charging for long periods of time have any adverse effects on the battery?

Most modern batteries have been memory free for many years. Don't worry you aren't the only one, recently on CrackBerry there was a bit of a quarrel over that. But the only thing you have to worry about is a bit of a higher energy bill, like .01% because of the charger still drawing even when it's not connected to the device.

The other issue that can degrade batteries is overcharging, but again, batteries these days (and really the devices that these batteries are in) have circuitry in them to ?shut off? the charger when they detect that the battery is full. In short, don?t worry about leaving the thing on the charger.

On a related note, how stable is the Xoom when it is in the upright charger? Stable enough to use while mounted? Stable enough take an errant light impact of the nerf variety without falling over? Etc. etc.

I have the HD dock and keep it on my desk, it's stable enough to use the keyboard and do whatever you want on it.

I haven't shot any nerf guns at it though ;).

Re: battery. I know the batteries in the Xoom don't have memory but I prefer to let it exercise a bit and take it off the charger when it's full and don't put it back on until it's below 20%.
