its what allows you do makes calls and recieve and send data.....alll roms need a radio, they need to be compatible with the one you are using

All roms need a Baseband or Modem/Radio file. It's not that DL30 didn't need one, it's that it didn't have one, so you needed to use the Baseband file from either DL05/DL09. EB01 is complete, Baseband, Kernel, and rom.

But... the 64 thousand dollar question is, is the EB01 radio *different*? I mean, maybe its just the same binary with a new rev label on it. And maybe... It can make calls from the moon, and it actually charges the battery from the vibrations in your voice when you're talking so you get off a call with more of a charge than when you started! Now THATS an upgrade!
