too many questions in one sentence. lets try to address it one by one.

usually when you plug in your Nexus to the laptop it will say installing drivers in PC, wait for it to finish. Check if the device is availabe in My computer, If not you might see a notification in Nexus like this "Connected as Media device" just touch on it and it will enable media transfer. or in the page it takes make sure MTP is checked. it might be different but i am not sure.

If nothing works attach the ebooks to gmail and send it to yourself. in gmail app then download the ebooks to your Nexus. you will need a ebook reader app to read the books

Home screen dont orient to horizontal but the apps can orient to horizontal. to do this go to
settings-->Display-->Auto rotate screen. Check it.

dont need flash for skygo there is an app for that https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...details?id=com.bskyb.cloudwifi&token=UUQbY9Oh

go to google play store and search skygo.

if you need flash you need to side load flash.

What format are your ebooks in? I have a bunch on PDF format, and I plan on using the kindle reader app. You can email documents to your kindle library. I don't think it accepts anything other than PDF, but there are similar apps that can read any eBook format.

Probably easier to transfer via apps, rather than directly from your computer, but I've never tried.

Idk what iPlayer or sky go are, but there's a sticky on the forums that tells got how to get flash. Basically, DL the flash .apks, and dl scope browser.

1. locate and download Flash 11.1. ( search using google "flash 11.1 apk". )
2. google search for Dolphin 8.5.1.apk. Download it also.
3. go into Play Store and turn off AUTO UPDATES

1. go to your downloads folder and install flash first.
2. go back to downloads and install Dolphin ( You cannot let dolphin update, or you will lose Flash capability, which the developer recently removed from Dolphin)

enjoy flash! (don't try to go fullscreen with videos inside of dolphin or it will crash every time. you can turn to landscape and double click outside of the margins of the video, to make the image as large as possible inside of Dolphin. after resizing you can adjust the position of the video to show within the confines of the screen)
