Eclair DI18 to Froyo EC05 changes

i got the update this am but am wondering what should be different with my phone today as opposed to yesterday??? what should i be looking for? i know that i can save apps to sd card but what else?

i had stock EVERYTHING....not into the rooting and stuff...just plain old epic and this is my 1st and only update....got phone on release date (was 1st in line and 1st in store!)

Some people already had a version of froyo that was pulled. They were stock too. So the question should be were you on eclair or froyo, you obviously would see alot more changes if you were on eclair.

got old froyo update...how do I get Sprint ID?

Does anyone know if the re-release is different than the one that was pulled? Will I get an OTA for the new one. Didn't get Sprint ID...

I have a totally stock Epic that was running Eclair. Just got the update, and there is a huge difference, especially with the GPS. It went from "barely working" to "doesn't work at all". Sprint ID won't even load. Wow. Thanks!

Open your application drawer, hit the menu button to select "edit". All of the 3rd party apps will have a little red negative icon in the top right corner (if you wanted to delete them).

Long press to drag and drop Handcent SMS to the bottom tray (no need to first remove the stock messaging app icon first).

I had DI18 and finally got tired of waiting and did the manual update thing. One of the first things I noticed was that voice recognition seemed to now be working. I use a grocery store shopping list app, ToMarket, which allows you to add items to your list by speaking them into the phone, (eg., "Add Bacon"). In the past, doing this would result in some kind of connection failure error and the new item wouldn't get added. I had to do it by hand. This works beautifully now in EC05.

Yes the EC05 Froyo IS different than EB13 Froyo (that was pulled earlier). EC05fixed the sport camera issues and slow rotate issues that are still present in EB13. I have EB13, my wife has EC05.
