I have 30% more to go on the froyo ota. Not much longer, gonna crack a cold one and I'll let you know soon lol.
what client are you using to connect droid? i have the info for xda's IRC for the facinate if you would like that.

Yeah, I got it too. I think because it was seriously just snuck in without any notice... There's nothing on samsung or vzw nor any other sources stating an update, so this is very strange.

i would like to know if running ED01 would doing a an update get us to ED03?
Nope, I was stock ED01 and tried several times, it kept saying no new updates available.
It could be possible that this is an update to allow the people having issues OTAing (those 10,000 or so phones that have been unable to OTA) to actually be able to OTA now. But I would think that'd be a pretty big announcement...

Well, at first glance I'm not noticing anything different with ED03 compared to ED01... I still have the problem with the alarm clock so that wasn't fixed... Hopefully they release an announcement with what this is all about soon.
downloading the update now, going to try to save the update.zip file that comes out then as well.
I know I am, I can't stop searching all over the internet for some signs of this mystery ED03.. lol. Guess I'll just let things play out and go to bed tho.
Could this be a way to find out who is tampering with their phone? The only way to get it is to flash back to 2.1 and then OTA update right? So they could see who is downloading ED03. Just a thought
before everyone hops on the ED03 band wagon, we dont yet know what the change log is. what ever ED03 fixed may ALREADY be fixed in the KB1.3. we just dont know yet. adrynalyne will be looking into it soon. if its already fixed in 1.3 then there is no need to hop to ED03.
no, rooting is not illeagel, its not even a violation of your contract, just voids warrenty. they dont care that much.
Sorry Im late to this party, but this wasnt brought up. You can def take screenshots on stock 2.2 with the power and magnify button or whatever the combo was. but that works for sure. Also I hope we get a leak of the modem/radio since im still on old boy EC01:-[
it only takes about 5 minutes to get to ed01 modem. besides, i dont think there is a differance between the two.
