Edge features?

So your saying the edge apps, like ticker, night clock, etc won't work even though they are listed in the user manual?

How do they work without enough edge surface to display? The curve area is too small to serve the same visible function as the S7E and it was already small on the S7E. Interesting to see how it works.

No idea yet because the phone I posted with at Best Buy was in demo mode and you couldn't turn it off to test the edge. But it's in the manual, so they have it working somehow.

I'll do face down if you show me a slim sexy case that has that little lip... I'm not gonna get a big stupid case just so I can put my phone face down. It never how's face down because I don't want to damage the screen. I like the idea, though...

Slim and sexy... hmmm, I somehow doubt my opinion of that and yours would be different. lol ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5308052 this is the one I have. It has a the lip on the front. They run about 1-2mm. Just enough to keep screen and desk from kissing.

This is the one I ordered...

If I had that feature it would alert me to texts I may have missed from a family member and when of them gets testy if I don't answer quickly it would be great

I have yet to see the Edge ticker style apps actually work correctly or at all on the N7. Even if they work, the will not be as legible as the flatter Edge surface (ironic), but distorted on the curve. The other Edge apps that use the swipe stripe still seem to have no functional value than swiping from the sides of a flat display to show the same panels. What is the functional gain? I have tried the apps on the Note 7 and similar type apps on the Note 5. Not seeing any functional advantage of the curve besides the thinner width.

The problem with the n7 and ticker tape scrolls is that the edges that made the most use of them was the gentler edges of the earlier devices. The scrolls are likely worthless on the n7. The side panels have an advantage over flat screen versions in 1 key way... the trigger "handles" are out of the way on the side screen when not in use. I find myself moving around things like the airpanel trigger spit, because it always seems like it's in the way.

Wait? The Edge panel has the same functionality as my current Note Edge?!?!??!

Posted Via Galaxy Note Edge. Yea, the phone is perfect...

Sure they both make phone calls, and they both send text messages, can surf the web, and I would imagine that the edge stuff is the same. I would hardly consider that to anything being equal.

I can walk talk and breathe, but I'm no NFL player.
