Edge+ from Best Buy Wireless Charging Issue

Hi. Figured out the problem in t mobile store today. The black charger unit that comes with the wireless charger is not powerful enough to power it. We used the white charger unit ( one that comes with phone Galaxy s6 edge plus , better output )connected to the wireless charger and it worked perfectly. Hope this helps.

has this worked consistently for you? We bought both the Edge 6+ and Note 5 and 2 of the Samsung wireless chargers. Both phones having issues on both chargers and does not matter which phone which charger, with or without cases. I am trying this now, putting the stock phone cord on the charger itself to see if this solves it. If so I will be bringing back to sprint to have them give me the correct cord for the unit.

Well took all of 5 minutes for the charger to stop working and blinking again with the stock white code on the charger. ALL GOING BACK! This is ridiculous

That doesn't work for me. Using the Adaptive fast charger that came with the phone, on the wireless charging puck will only let the puck charge longer, in my case ~ 5-minutes before it stops charging.

I ordered a new charger via amazon and tried it out at lunc today. It charged for 30min with no issues. The real test will be if that lasts. So far so good. I think its def the samsung charger

I dunno I had the black samsung wireless charger for 2 months and never had one single issue with my regular s6e charging....then I get my s6e plus and bam. Problems. My girlfriend still has a regular s6e and it still charges fine on the black Sammy charger. So it may be that the s6e plus is not compatible with their own charger lol.

It's the charger not the phone, the black Samsung wireless chargers coil isn't big enough to charge the phone, it can't charge my nexus 6 either but a no name wireless charger I have for my nexus charges the edge plus and my nexus 6 with no problems, just add a 2 amp micro usb adaptor to it and there you go:

Oh mine charges fine on my gf 15 dollar charging pad. Best buy probably gave out thousands of these things with purchase of note 5 and s6e plus. Plus plenty of people like myself bought them so there is going to have to be some accountability somewhere.

I just got my GS6 Edge + this past weekend with the free charging pad from Best Buy. I am also having the same issues as other on here. From reading the posts and different suggestions, I took a chance with turning off my phone then putting it on the charging pad. Well, full charge with no issue. It seems like the charge pad is unable to provide enough juice while the phone is on. So this work around will work for some users and not for others who's only phone is the Edge+.

I have you fix guys my girlfriend had the same issue with her gs6 the problem is your power card hers did the same thing until she put her fast charging card in the pad now it works like a dream try it folks

I hate Best Buy. They advertise $200 gift card with trade of ANY working smartphone but wouldn't give me a penny for my Motorola Droid. It works and it IS a smart phone.

I got a super expensive charger from Best Buy and had the same issue. It would only charge for a few seconds and then stop. So then I got cheapo charger off Amazon, about $15, and it works great.

I am also having the same issue, will say its charging and then shut off. Tried two chargers, the one from BB and a no name from Amazon, same issue. tried with and without case. Of course, it worked fine at the store on their charger...

Using a stock samsng wall adapter it does ;ast longer but still "shuts off" after ten minutes or so.

I stopped by BEST BUY again tonight and the Samsung Rep said this is a known issue and they are working on a fix. My comment was I hope they plan on giving us the new Wireless Chargers when they reach the stores since we can't properly use the free ones we were given with the phones when they were purchased. She just noted it. Lol

I ordered the regular Samsung QI charger before I read this thread so I was worried I'd have issues as well. When I first got the charger, I was to lazy to use the stock Samsung wall adapter, so I just connected it to my old Nexus 4/ LG G3 adapter (same adapter). Didn't notice any issues with the charger, it would light up blue when charging and continue on without any issues. After looking @ the LG wall adapter I noticed it is a 1.8 amp charger, so I decided to switch to the official Samsung adapter since i believe its 2 amp. Once I did this and placed my phone on the charging pad, it turned blue but after a few mins, it started blinking like there was an issue. Switched the adapter back to my LG adapter and the issue went away. Dunno if that's a coincidence or not but I haven't had any issues with the charger since then.

My phone model is the unlocked SM-9287 so dunno if that makes a difference or not.

So far I tried lots of other work around which includes Daydream mode, putting a business card between charging pad and phone, install night clock app(keeping phone from going to sleep mode) and none of those work. But then, I was thinking it maybe because the phone is draining more power than the charging pad can handle so I turned on Battery Saving Mode and since then it work perfect for last 3 days. So give it a try

I am also having the same issue. Got a Samsung black charger from BB and it would charge for a few seconds then start blinking. I Returned the charger and ordered the same model from Amazon only to have the same issue. I then bought a different brand wireless charger that is supposed to work with the s6 edge plus but no luck. I tried all the workarounds I found online (Daydream mod, paper in between, power save mode, ect.) The only way it will charge wireless if when the phone is turned off. I contacted both Verizon AND Samsung and both seem to be unaware of this issue. I just got the phone last week so I am going to see if they will replace it because it is obviously not working correctly.

I bought the Samsung Fast Wireless Charger and it did not work with my Edge+. Would always stop charging after five seconds or so. With or without a case, power on or off, and no matter I how placed it on the charger. People on XDA Developers say that AT&T and Sprint released a firmware update to address wireless charging issues. VZW has not released an update yet for the S6 Edge+.

I ended up buying the Choetech Fast Wireless charger from Amazon and it works fine. Only issue is that the phone gets a little warm while on the charger.
