Edge lighting doesnt work when screen is off

Anyone having issues with the edge lighting not working when the screen is off on ur note 9. I have also updated the edge lighting on the galaxy store. I have the settings on always on n it only works when the phone is still active. Any help guys?

I posted a similar thread. My Edge Lighting works, but doesn't use the color or pattern that I choose. It also doesn't light up for texts. It just lights up green for phone calls.

This might be going back to the S7/S7 Edge but some of the edge lighting only worked while the phone was off and placed upside down. The reflection on the table or desk would get your attention. Maybe it's the same?

download edge lighting in galaxy app store. I believe it's a buck or two but works great. The phone will light up whether the screen is on or off face up or face down and you can determine what colors you want to use or you can use the color of whatever app is sending a notification. Been using it since last year on my note 8. disabled all the built in edge lighting stuff

Is anyone else able to get an effect other than the green glow when receiving a call and the screen facing down? I changed my edge lighting option to always on and was able get it to work when I was using the phone. But when I turned it face down, I still just get a green glow.
