Edge lighting feature keeps turning off, how do you prevent it?

The edge lighting feature on my Samsung Galaxy S8 keeps disabling itself several times a day for an unknown reason. I re-enable it in the quick settings only for it to be disabled again a couple of hours later. My thoughts would be another application is disabling the feature maybe, but I have no idea which. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Keep off the John Smiths. On a serious note, on my S8 this does not appear to happen.

John Smith is my real name believe it or not haha. But yeah no one seems to have the same issue which leads me to believe it's an app that's on my phone that's causing the problem. A factory reset seems to be the way to go at the moment.

Try a cache wipe first.
