Edge lighting functionality

Is it me or did they eff up the functionality of the edge lighting with pie ? For the most part it's been working , but not the way it used to on Oreo. Now for some apps it only works when I'm in another app, but when my phone is not in use it doesn't work at all even though I have it set to still light up when the phone is not in use. So far it only works the correct way with my texting app. It doesn't even light up when I get phone calls like it used to. I've since turned it off .I just wanted to see if anyone else noticed this.

I'm assuming it will work for the S9 as well as the S10 but here's an app that might correct your issue...

That one may be specifically for the S10, it is a different device after all, but have you searched Edge Lighting from your device? If there is an app for that it will show in a search. Google is pretty good about not showing results for apps that don't work on the device searched from.

Or do you mean it isn't what you're looking for? Doesn't do what you needed?

It didn't work. I set everything up and tested it out and it wouldn't work.
