Edge Lighting - not sure it is working

I am wondering if I have Edge Lighting setup properly. I went thru the steps to have it display when I receive a text from an app Mood, and email from my Inbox app (BlackBerry Hub), as well as a BBM message. My assumption was that once anything happened in any of those, the phone would wake up and Edge Lighting would be displayed in the color that I chose for each.

That isn't happening and it doesn't matter if I have the screen on or off. Can somebody tell me how to make this happen or maybe it won't work like that?

When I open the screen, the notifications were there.

Also, is there any way to set the length of time the Edge Lighting goes?

Go to settings >display>edge screen
Make sure apps are added what you want to show under choose app and some are not compatible , then lighting style tap>advance >set duration.

Thanks again, mustang. Do you know of any apps that will help make the lighting work with pretty much everything? It appears Mood has a setting ("allow Edge Lighting") so it works now. But the Inbox and BBM are BlackBerry related and do not work.

For bbm inbox it might not be compatible not sure if you dont see anything on that list for apps for lighting even though its related to Mood.
