Edge lighting question

Have you gone to the Edge Lighting setting to make sure it's enabled for those apps?

It should , go in edge lighting manage apps

It doesn't work for fb messenger . It doesn't even come up on the list of apps that can do edge lighting. I was hoping they would have changed it by now , but nope.

Yup, Messenger does not work with Edge Lighting. Textra should. It's been a while since I've used it but I almost positive it does.

I don't have it set up in any special way. I just made sure that Textra was turned on in the edge lighting app and I choose the color I wanted. I also didn't have to do anything special within the Textra app. You do however have to make sure in the main phone settings for the Textra notifications that it says sound and pop up for the edge lighting to work.

thanks. I meant in the actual app, not in settings for the phone, but this works too. I shouldn't have to have sound to have edge lighting. I want visual but not audio so apparently no edge, which makes no sense, but is what it is.

You can still put the app on silent with edge lighting. It doesn't show in the picture but there's a part that ask you what sound you want and you gave the option to pick silent.

Mine is in sound right now , but if you click on it the silent is at the top. You still have to have it on sound and pop up to work even though it's silent.

thanks. that's how I have it, but no edge lighting. it's never worked for me and this is exactly how I set it up in phone settings. even went to double check.
