Edge Lighting with Whatsapp

Hello,

Anyone managed to get the Edge Lighting working with out having to have the annoying whatapp pop up come up on the screen? right now I can only get the edge lighting to come up with the huge whatsapp pop up.

It means anyone who clicks the wake button can read any whatsapp message that is displayed on the screen, it's pretty ugly as well.

I don't use WhatsApp but can't you just block details from being displayed on the lock screen.

How would I do that?

Is that in the notifications menu? I have tried Do not show in lock screen but it doesn't stop the big full screen pop ups.

I figured the system setting would override it but I guess that would have to be a WhatsApp setting or issue. Which I'm not familiar with.
