edge lighting

Has anyone found a way to get edge lighting to work for Samsung messages on Android 11? I do understand where to find it and how to set it. Two or three apps are working but apparently, the Samsung messenger isn't.

I cannot even find edge lighting in the settings anymore. I did a search and all I see are the edge panel options. Something I set once and forgot. Where is the edge lighting option?

Look under notifications and the brief pop-up settings

Found it. I changed to be detailed so couldn't find it. Stinks that the search couldn't bring it up.

apparently you have to set notifications inside of the text app to show as a pop up in order for the edge lighting to work in Samsung messages
