Edge Lightning Not Working

Yeah I give up on this. Not working, Verizon, if it matters.

I have Verizon and I just got it to work. Make sure that you selected the apps that you want it to work on. I changed my message app and it was not selected in the Manage Notifications sub menu.

Go to settings, Display, Edge Screen, enable Edge Lighting, now touch the words Edge Lighting and set to Always, choose Manage Notifications and choose all the apps you want to show lighting. Go back once and choose Advanced Settings and choose App Colors. Set width and transparency. You're done.

This is my WA settings. The edge lighting only works on individual messages and not for groups

Perhaps this can get yours to work.

I am on T Mobile my Edge Lighting only comes on with texts and stock music app

I wish they had left the edge app alone. I remember when that first came out on the 7 Edge I think they use to have where you could set the first 5 contacts to light up your edge with a color you chose and it did that on calls and text and you could also pic and draw on a pic with your finger (I think) and it had a few other things you could do and if was called circles?

That's how it originally worked and I loved it! Now there is no edge lighting at all on the S7 Edge. Plus, I remember in the notification pane, a text message would show up in whatever color you originally picked out for the edge lighting.

I also can only get edge lighting to work somewhat but I have to turn the phone upside down just as we had to do on the S7 Edge.

I also have to do the same on my S8+. It doesn't work for every app that I have selected in the settings.

I am hopeful that this will work for me too. I changed the setting in whatsapp. fingers crossed.

Mine works for group chats as well... I must say... Not fond of the pop up that comes up when I press the home button... But I guess now I have to choose... Either have the edges light up and deal with the pop ups... Or have no edge lights and no pop ups... Eish
