Edge Lightning Not Working

Mine works for group chats as well... I must say... Not fond of the pop up that comes up when I press the home button... But I guess now I have to choose... Either have the edges light up and deal with the pop ups... Or have no edge lights and no pop ups... Eish

When the screen is off and I get a whatsapp message... The edge light up and its very pretty and what I wanted... But then as soon as I press the home button, it gives me the message in a little block and I can then reply from the lock screen basically... Or press the back button and go into the app and reply from there...

ah okay. I got it. no image necessary. tbh I don't use whatsapp as my default. my son travels sometimes and he uses it when he out of the country.

Whatsapp is all we use... Don't use any other messaging app... But I'm very glad I got it to work... Thanks to Bosbouers screenshot.

it seems great overall. just don't like the interface as well as Textra atm. tried to customize whatsapp today, but it still didn't move me.

Yes they worked but the stock one is better, mine is finslly working but I want one with more options, I actually want one that will do they for misdeeds calls /and or voicemail... I don't want much do I! Lol

My Verizon note 8 edge lighting worked when I first got it, now it don't, preview works.

Bosbouer... Jou biscuit!!!!!! Its working... The setting was in whatsapp self... Not in edge lighting or notification settings... But in whatsapp itself... Your screen shot did the trick... Thanks sooo much...

Glad you got it working. Groups also work provided you don't have them "muted"

I did a factory reset on my S6 Edge yesterday. Using stock Samsung messenger app. The edge lighting came on for a moment when I got text from gf.

Cannot seem to choose the color though and it was a brief flash of strange faded yellow color that ran down both sides of screen when screen was off and upside down.

That's a long way down from the gorgeous colors and edge lighting that used to appear on the screen when I first got this phone.

I used to like the fact that if u missed a call or text there would appear a colored tab on the side of the screen, just above your dge tab.

As you slid the tab out to see it, it dragged out like a fluid or liquid separating from the mass until it became it's own bubble. It was a nice interactive animation sort of thing.
