Edge/People in a replacement Samsung Galaxy S9+ is not working right. Fixable?

I am setting up a warranty replacement Galaxy S9+. The old phone's Edge/People showed all phone numbers associated with a given contact and I could choose which I wanted to dial when pressing person in Edge/People. The replacement S9+ will not offer that option and is dialing automatically without posting the multiple numbers for me to pick from. I have changed the default phone number in Contacts, but Edge/People does not recognize my default choice. It keeps dialing the same number. Is this broken, or is the a way to fix this?
 
Are you using correct Edge Panel? Because there is also Direct Call edge panel.
 
If you're not using Direct Call edge, ask for a replacement for the replacement. (If they don't check their replacement phones out thoroughly - and no manufacturer does - they expect things like this. Google had to send me 4 replacements at one time, one after the other.)
