Edge+ WiFi issues?

My Edge+ reception is measurably poorer at the edges of my home WiFi than my 2017 Moto Z2 Force. An RF engineer friend speculates this could be due to the additional (and pointless, IMO) Verizon-specific 5G radio and antenna jammed into the design.

Anyone else experiencing issues? This now has me upgrading my WiFi router to mesh nodes, but even that's not going well (roaming handoff problems).

Could you try disabling the VZW 5G radio and antenna ???

Not sure if that's enabled anywhere in Settings, might you know where to look?

My fear is that it's more of a physical RF design compromise on the WiFi antenna.

Settings - Applications - just guessing

I'd expect it to be under Settings-Network & Internet-Mobile network, but only the usual LTE/CDMA/GSM switches are there.

I'd love to hear from others using Edge+ on WiFi at their homes, pro or con.

Hmmm maybe that was me, and I've forgotten, lol. Will go check it out.

I have the Moto Edge rather than the Edge +, and I have the same issue.

Bummer, what was your previous smartphone? How severe are your WiFi issues now? Interesting to know that it's not just the Edge+ with the Verizon 5G mmwave radio, if related at all.

I'm pretty miserable with WiFi streaming at home now, so far mesh nodes haven't helped me with real time streaming connections.

I have not had any issues at all with WiFi on my Edge (unlocked, on AT&T). This phone has been terrific except for the awful screen issues.
