Edit the Ringtone list after deleting system ringtones?

In older roms, if you deleted the ringtones from the ringtones folder under system/media, the list would auto-update.

I'm running rooted MB1 and when I deleted a bunch of the system ringtones (because they are lame!) the list still shows them.

Are they hard-coded somewhere? Someone know how to edit that list?

Did you try to restart the phone?

Yep.

Rebooted the phone after deleting the ringtones - the list still shows the ringtones.

Went into recovery and wiped cache and wiped dalvik-cache
Rebooted - and the ringtones are still listed, but when you select it nothing happens.

I remember this working in LJ7 but it seems they hardcoded this somewhere in MB1?

Anyone know where this list would be located and/or edited?
