Editing Word Bank

i recently got my droidx, its about a month old. but as i was getting use to the screen and accommodating it to my normal life i have stored incomplete or completely misspelled words into my phone - is there any way to remove specific words from the phone memory with out wiping the entire phone and starting over

Go to Settings > Language and Keyboard > Multi-touch keyboard (even if you are using Swype) > Clear user dictionary.

This will give you a fresh start on your memorized dictionary. Check also the "User Dictionary" (listed right below the Multi-Touch Keyboard option) where you can add words unique to your own situation. Eliminate those that aren't appropriate.
