Effective last Saturday, pics via MMS are not coming through

Last Friday everything was working just fine but beginning the next day when my wife sends me a text message with a picture or a screenshot, they don't come through. To say that they are pixelated would be vastly understating the image and I'm unable to download them either. I've attached a screenshot of what she sent me.

I asked my daughter to send me a picture and it came through twice. The first time looking exactly like the attached, but the next one was crystal clear.

Has anybody else experienced this and figured out what's going on? I've looked and can't see an Android update that occurred on my phone that might have caused this.

Try resetting the message app, by clearing its data, cache, force stop

You also might check with your carrier to see if there are any issues with them.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this also happen when you're on wi-fi calling? Has your mobile data been intermittently slow?

Thanks for the responses. I've reset the message app by clearing its data, cache, and force stopping it and that has not impacted the problem. I've called Verizon and they're not aware of any probs. I don't use wifi calling, but my mobile data is quite good, running at 90Mbs at this moment as measured fast.com.

I've also rebooted my device.

Any other thoughts?

Where you getting the pictures from, and are you using the stock message app?

Am getting the pix from the built in "Messages" app, which was working fine previously. Both myself and my wife are using the same app.

What network setting are you suggesting I reset?

What I mean you send picture from gallery to your message app? Is this one picture or every?

Go to Settings>System>Advanced>Reset Options, and select Reset Wi-fi, Mobile, & Bluetooth.
